Key Safety Personnel
We recognize the fact that safety does not occur by chance but rather is the result of careful attention from employees at all levels and in all positions. Sharing the responsibility of maintaining a safe workplace is everyone’s common goal and is considered a vital part of every job at Knobelsdorff Electric.
Safety Program Overview
Our written safety program meets the regulatory requirements of the state of Minnesota MN Statute 182.653 – A Workplace Accident and Injury Reduction Act (AWAIR). The written safety program contains areas such as Management Commitment, Safety Organization and Responsibilities, Employee Rights and the Law, Hazard Control Program, Jobsite Safety Inspections, Jobsite Information and Communication, Training, Occupational Injury Management, Safety Enforcement and Recognition, Hazard Communication. Our Safety Program meets the requirements of the AWAIR statute.
Safety Meetings are a key part of our program and are held in several different ways. The core of our training is accomplished through our weekly safety meetings conducted in the shop or on the jobsite. The project foreman usually does this and the topic is from our pre-planned weekly toolbox talk. In addition, we conduct annual foremen’s safety training to discuss current safety related issues affecting our company, revisions in the company safety manual and selected safety topics for training purposes. All of our field electricians are certified with OSHA 10 Hour training and our foremen are certified with OSHA 30 Hour training.
